Tia - You have what I call a "Saturday house". I know it sounds strange but this is what I mean - a Saturday house is a home where you can imagine a person/family living there and enjoying their home so much that they don't have that feeling of "I gotta get out of here" on the weekends, you can see kids/family and friends running around and feeling content. It's bright and happy and can be warm & cozy when you want that mood instead. I strive for this in my home and I can instantly recognize it in others. Great Job! Wow, I hope that doesn't sound crazy?!!
...and your house looks beyond Uh-MA-zing! I've had your kitchen in my brain since Paloma "sneek peeked" it a few weeks back! Congratulations on the feature!
You already know I am a huge fan of your work, Tia and this feature only solidified that. Hands down, the beautiful spread on your amazing home was my favorite. I am absolutely head over heels in love with your kitchen and if I ever have the opportunity to remodel mine, yours will be the inspiration. I think that Sam above beautifully enunciated how I too feel about your home, "Saturday house," yes! It is supremely livable and welcoming for a family, yet stylish and interesting, with "wow" moments around every corner. Thanks for sharing your amazing space.
LOVED your spread, Tia-- and the thing I loved best part is that it is a true representation of you. Not over-styled. It looks exactly the same as it does in person. Gorgeous darling!
The issue was awesome and I loved seeing your house in it! I have seen pictures of your house before and it's so fun to watch how it has evolved and changed. I would love to hear more about how and why you have changed things for a little designer insight!
Congrats on the feature in High Gloss! Your home is beautiful. I couldn't get over how glam the dining room is. Those gold chairs paired with the zebra print rug...love it!
tia..i am such a huge fan, your home is dreamy. i have tear sheets of the cottage living spread on my wall..so love seeing the transformation..i just HAD to blog about your fabulous style.. http://rikshawdesign.blogspot.com/2011/02/boho-oasis.html
Hi sixteenforty, thanks for reading! If you are talking about a batik like fabric it is from a fabric store here in L.A. called Diamond fabric. I dont think it is available any longer which totally bums me out because it is one of my favorite fabrics! xo tia
I'm so excited I found your blog!! First off, I have been a HUGE fan of yours since I first saw your home published in Cottage Living. Congrats on all of your success! I have always loved your dining room table. Can you recommend a resource for similar tables if yours is vintage? You think it would be simple to find, but everything I find out there right now (retail wise) is not quite right. THANK YOU!!
