So yes, my 8 year has decided that she doesn't want a purple room anymore so there is a big change on the horizon. I pretend that i am a little frustrated but secretly i am excited to redo her room. She is wanting a more "big girl" room and having an older sister who is very stylish makes her more persistent on her room makeover. So here we go...picking out new colors, new bed, and drapes. Actually most of her things belonged to her older sister so this is really her first room that is not all hand me downs. Not that i feel sorry for her, those hand me downs are pretty good.
I hope you share the process. I have an 8 year old daughter thinking the same thing. We'll see.
ReplyDeleteOh no! I thought I had another few years before my 7 year old wanted to do that ! You'll have to share tips on how you keep her from going with all the totally tacky stuff out there.....if you can:-)
ReplyDeleteTotally relate - my twins girls are 7 on Monday, so I have (hopefully) a year or two yet before 'big girl' demands set in. We just moved so trying to think of ways to decorate that will last them a few years into 'tweeniedom', but still suit them now - AND suit my 1822 Georgian house in England. At the moment, they're BEGGING for bunkbeds - sigh! xx
ReplyDeletebeautiful spaces :)
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see! i loved your girl's room in cottage living!
