I am soooo happy to hear that the new Free City boutique is opening up minutes from my house!
When I am not in work clothes, I absolutely live in Free City attire. There is nothing softer and more comfortable than their clothes. I love their branding and how they represent themselves with earth, environment, and neighborhood consciousness.

The new shop on Highland Ave will carry bikes, their signature clothing, accessories, shoes, and will also carry bread and ice-cream from the local purveyors! I love stores that create an environment, stores that are not just for one single item. Stores like Fred Segal, Lost and Found, Pierre Lafond, American Rag are my favorite vendors that I love to go to because there is an atmosphere around the brand and a message for the consumer.
Their website is pretty cool too, they donate to local art and music organizations here in L.A. from their " Artist's Wanted" campaign and one of those organizations is the Silverlake Conservatory of Music which one of my daughters friends attends camp at every summer. She invited my daughter to one of her performances and she said it was pretty awesome! I know Flea from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers makes regular appearances there to work with the kids which is pretty cool.
They also have a little picture and video clip of Jane Goodall, who is one of my all time favorites...
I cant wait to pop in their when they open!
