White washed loveliness

Lately I have really been into white washed floors and houses that are clean, crisp and modern. Don't get me wrong, I still love rich dark shiny floors but I think the newest of trends are going more toward the lighter look. Growing up, my house had white washed floors with really wide planks that my parents stained in the early eighties. It was beautiful and I was reminded of my childhood house (minus the big hair and pink frosted lipstick) when I looked at these pictures.
